Frozen blades of grass

Rain after a heavy frost had covered nature with a thick layer of ice, everything looked enchanted. I wanted to capture this unusual weather situation in a picture. It was only possible to move around on the icy paths in the Eastern Ore Mountains with great care.

In the waterfall

This photo location places high demands on people and equipment. You walk behind the waterfall and have to deal with a lot of spray, the photographic equipment used has to be able to withstand this. It is a special experience.

Colored ashes

Iceland owes the rich red tones of this picture to volcanism. I am always fascinated by the colors and landscapes created by this powerful force of nature.

Light sign

In this shot, the light of the moon had illuminated the snow-covered mountains of the Lofoten Islands, along with aurora borealis in the form of a light sign. This light made the deep, cold night in the north a particularly impressive experience.

Sunset with intense colours

The light mood of this mild evening on Sulawesi was dreamlike. The fishing boats in the foreground gave the scene a particularly peaceful atmosphere.

Hot magma emerges from a crack in the earth

Standing at the lava flow in the first morning light, feeling the heat, watching the magma move slowly and unstoppably was a very impressive event. Little humans have nothing to oppose this force of nature.

Indonesia - fishing boats on the beach

The picturesque fishing boats I could photograph on the island of Java. At low tide, a calm atmosphere lay over the harbor. This changes quickly when the boats bring fresh catch ashore after leaving.

Kannesteinen

The Atlantic surf formed this remarkable rock on the west coast of Norway. The picture was taken in rainy weather, which for me fits very well with the melancholy emanating from the Kannestein.

Ice in the surf

The black lava sand beach in front of the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon is a particularly exciting location. The smaller blocks of ice that have emerged from the lagoon into the sea become the play of the wild Atlantic waves.

Mountains and sea in Iceland

The beautiful contrast of jet-black lava sand to the swell and the snow-capped mountains in the background makes this image particularly appealing to me. The Atlantic waves run out on the flat shore area and thus serve as a mirror for the majestic mountain range.
